Office building for Wageningen University & Research
A future-proof and modular office building
In the second quarter of 2025, we delivered a modern and future-proof office building for education and research on behalf of Wageningen University & Research. Sustainability, flexibility and user well-being were central to both the design and execution.
The building was developed based on the principle that people are more important than buildings. This vision is reflected in the open and accessible layout, offering a variety of work and learning environments. These include instruction rooms, meeting spaces, consultation rooms and quiet work areas, tailored to different activities and user needs.
Human-centred and flexible design
Every square metre of the building is used efficiently and multifunctionally. Workspaces are ergonomically designed, providing comfort, focus and flexibility. The interior and exterior seamlessly connect, creating an inspiring and informal working environment.
The roof has also been designed with functionality in mind and structurally prepared for water storage, green roof solutions and energy generation. As a result, the building serves not only as an education and research facility but also as a sustainable reference project.
Shared sustainability vision
By applying modular building, the construction time was significantly reduced and CO₂ emissions during realization were minimized. This fully aligns with the sustainability ambitions of Wageningen University & Research. The result is a representative, flexible and future-ready building designed to adapt to changing demands.
Ook het dak is functioneel ingericht en constructief voorbereid op wateropslag, groene daktoepassingen en energieopwekking. Hierdoor fungeert het gebouw niet alleen als onderwijs- en onderzoeksomgeving, maar ook als duurzaam voorbeeldproject.
