Modular sports accommodation in The Hague
In the second quarter of 2025, Van den Nagel Modular Construction started the realization of a semi-permanent washing and changing room facility for football club HDV in The Hague. The project was commissioned by the Municipality of The Hague and responds to the need for modern, functional and future-proof sports facilities.
The building consists of eight fully equipped changing rooms with shower facilities, a spacious storage area for sports equipment and a dedicated first aid room. The layout was carefully designed with a strong focus on safety, hygiene and ease of use for players, coaches and staff.
Sustainably and efficiently built
Modular building was deliberately chosen for this project. The accommodation was largely produced in a controlled factory environment and assembled on site within a short timeframe. This resulted in minimal construction time on location and very limited disruption to the surrounding area. The total realization period was approximately six weeks.
The building is equipped with an energy-efficient climate system consisting of a heat pump combined with underfloor heating integrated into the concrete floor. This ensures a comfortable and evenly distributed indoor climate. In addition, the installation system follows a legionella-proof concept, guaranteeing the safety and hygiene of the water systems.
The new changing room facility fully complies with all applicable regulations and meets the specific requirements of both the Municipality of The Hague and football club HDV.
