From traditional to modular building in Barneveld

From production to delivery in 9 weeks!

For this residential development, eight apartments were realised that were originally approved for traditional construction. Due to limited space on site and the desire to minimise disruption to the surrounding area, an efficient and flexible construction approach was chosen.

Van den Nagel Modular Construction re-engineered the existing approved design into a modular solution. This transition resulted in a cost-effective and practical execution while maintaining all quality and regulatory requirements.

In close coordination with the Municipality of Barneveld, the necessary design adjustments were implemented swiftly. The municipality adopted a constructive approach, enabling the final building permit to be granted just three weeks after submission of the revised structural design. This ensured a smooth and uninterrupted continuation of the project.

Thanks to the modular construction method, the project was completed within a very short timeframe. The total construction period, from the start of production to final delivery, amounted to just nine weeks. The result is an efficient and future-proof apartment complex with minimal impact on the surrounding environment.
